Florida Ice

FIFCO operated multiple plants and logistics centers with electrical, MEP, and structural systems of varying ages, documentation levels, and technical standards. Information was fragmented, incomplete, or outdated, making informed decision-making difficult.
Additionally, hazardous area classification and explosive atmosphere assessments were critical for safety, yet required consistent and unified criteria. Maintenance and operations teams faced the risk of unexpected failures, high costs due to limited visibility, and audits without full technical traceability.
We centralized technical information across more than 17 facilities, standardized criteria, digitized diagrams, and created a unified view of the real condition of FIFCO’s electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.
FIFCO transitioned from operating with uncertainty and inconsistent data to having a clear, updated, and reliable technical overview of each site. This shift strengthened their ability to prioritize investments, reduce operational risks, comply with international standards, and plan preventive maintenance based on solid technical insight.
S3 delivered a comprehensive, integrated service that included:
- Electrical equipment monitoring and diagnostics, establishing performance metrics, critical alarms, and actionable recommendations.
- Update and standardization of P&IDs and process diagrams across all facilities, ensuring consistent, traceable documentation.
- Hazardous area classification studies and explosive atmosphere assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational safety.
- Fire protection system design, aligned with international codes and standards.
- Integrated MEP and structural engineering services, ensuring consistency, coordination, and technical coherence across disciplines.
